1967 Volvo Amazon 120 - RE9A

One of our best loved Volvos ever this car really put the Swedes on wheels. Sales figures were sensational and when the Amazon eventually ceased production in 1970 the total built was 667,000.

1963 Volvo PV445 Duette Estate - RE7

Thousands of small business really loved this sturdy and versatile estate. It boasted a 1.4-litre engine with 40 bhp and a separate frame and could take you really any place with a full load. 1964 Volvo PV544 - RE6A

1964 Volvo PV544 - RE6A

Roomier, quicker and of course more up-to-date than its ancestor the PV444 from 1947. Much loved for its sturdiness and reliability, many were sorry to see it go in 1965 after 244,000 were built. With its 4-cylinder, 1.8-litre, 60-96 bhp it also proved Volvo to be a competitive rally car. Today a real cult car - the Swedish PV club alone has 5,000 members.
