1953 Crosley Delivery - US36 |
| These cars had a monocoque aluminium body and a 725cc engine that produced 27 bhp. This was a four-cylinder engine with an overhead camshaft that was easily more highly tuned. This car, with a length of 12’ 6”, was 9 3/4 shorter than a VW Beetle and with a top speed of 75 mph was really dangerously fast. This delivery vehicle is a standard Crosley underneath but it has had the rear seats removed to allow it to be used as a delivery van. This van, like the car version, dates from 1951. |
