Soo Teddy bear. The first Sooty Show was aired in 1955. Two years later Harry introduced a best friend for Sooty, a little grey dog with floppy ears. Sooty and Sweep were to meet many friends along the way; however, it was the little Panda, Soo, who was to become the next full time family member, joining the gang in 1964.

Limited Edition (White and Red Ear Tag)
All the animals and Teddy Bears at Steiff are very pleased to receive the extraordinary distinction of the white ear tag with red writing because they are produced in a limited edition. This means that only a number is available and some are available only in certain countries.

Each of these pieces carry the gold plated "Button in Ear" and bring it's new owner a certificate that ensures the authenticity and special status as a Steiff Limited Edition piece.

Mohair - Lustrous, shiny and sleek. This natural material from the wool of the angora goat is the traditional Teddy bear material. In fact, it was used for the first Teddy bear ever created. The fiber is both beautiful and durable, which accounts for the amazing number of vintage Steiff creations that appear today in superb condition.
