Anni is a very old-fashioned bear that gives a well-loved impression. She even has random stitches on her body to simulate repairs from "too much love." She is inspired by a bear that won the Steiff Prize at the Teddy Bear World show in Wiesbaden. Her expression is intentionally a little sad - like she's saying, "Please bring me home with you." Her cashmere jacket is Steiff's addition to the piece - the original had only a collar. This elegant garment is inspired by old-fashioned Teddy bear clothes and features cream velvet and crochet lace in addition to the cashmere. As a finishing touch, there is a photo patch on Anni's sweater - an image specially chosen from the Steiff archives - depicting a young girl holding a classic Steiff Teddy. It all adds up to a brand new Classic from Steiff! .

Limited Edition (White and Red Ear Tag)
All the animals and Teddy Bears at Steiff are very pleased to receive the extraordinary distinction of the white ear tag with red writing because they are produced in a limited edition. This means that only a number is available and some are available only in certain countries.

Each of these pieces carry the gold plated "Button in Ear" and bring it's new owner a certificate that ensures the authenticity and special status as a Steiff Limited Edition piece.

Steiff Mohair
Mohair - Lustrous, shiny and sleek. This natural material from the wool of the angora goat is the traditional Teddy bear material. In fact, it was used for the first Teddy bear ever created. The fiber is both beautiful and durable, which accounts for the amazing number of vintage Steiff creations that appear today in superb condition. Most teddy bears and animals in Steiff's current Classic range are made of mohair material.
