1952 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible BRK168 - Brooklin Models
The 'Golden Anniversary Cadillacs', so-called because they marked the 50th Anniversary of Cadillac, Although little-changed from the previous year in outward appearance there were numerous changes under the skin including more powerful V8 engines. Body styles were down to seven and the Series 62 convertible was the top of the line in this series with nearly 6,500 examples rolling off the production line at just over $4,000 a piece.

1954 Kaiser Darrin BRK91A - Brooklin Models
Largely the brainchild of Howard Darrin, the new sports car was first announced in September 1952 with initial prototypes shown in February 1953. The car was first released for public sale in January 1954. The fibreglass-bodied vehicle incorporated a number of radical ideas, including doors that slid forward into the front fenders and a three position convertible top.

1935 Plymouth Deluxe Coupe BRK90A - Brooklin Models
The 1935 Plymouth model PJ was a completely new design. Its flowing curves owed much to the senior Chrysler line. Although bodywork took a step forward, oddly enough a live axle replaced the independent front suspension of the previous year. De luxe models where readily identifiable by their bullet-shaped chrome headlights. Over 40,000 de luxe coupe's in total were sold during the model year.

The Cortina Mk 1V was a reskinned Mk111 and the work of Uwe Bahnsen.Our model represents a Ghia Estate version of 1979. Ghia had originally been an Italian Styling concern producing special coachwork for a variety of companies. 1957 Austin A55 Cambridge MkI LDM82 - Lansdowne Models
When John Bolster road tested the Bristol 411 in 1972 he described the car as memorable and observed that it was the fastest genuine touring saloon on the market, beating the mighty Mercedes-Benz 300SEL. With a 6.3litre Chrysler engine coupled to the same companys torque-flite automatic box the 411 could reach 0-50 in 5.1 seconds and go on to a top speed of 138 mph.Hand-built in Bristol, all Bristol cars were, and still are, constructed to the very highest standards.

1951 Ford Victoria BRK51 - Brooklin Models
Unique in having the serial BRK. 51 to match the year of manufacture, the 1951 Victoria was Ford's first hardtop. 1949 had seen the first year of Ford's truly post war styling - an advance that the company sorely needed. Henry Ford had died in 1947, just too soon to see the fruits of his son's labours.

1966 Humber Super Snipe Estate IPV 06
The Humber Super Snipe Estate has a six-cylinder overhead valve engine capable of delivering 130 bhp at 4,800 rpm. This was the first British car to have twin headlights, which gave it an American look. This vehicle was used by Kent County Constabulary and the registration number was FKE 825D.

1956 Hillman Minx series 1 - LDM48 - Lansdowne Models
The series 1 Minx lasted a year before the Jubilee Minx made its bow, again in three body variations. Details were slightly fussier - and would become more so with subsequent face-lifts. The original Series 1 Minx is remembered for being the cleanest lined and most attractive of a style which ran, with modifications, from 1956 to 1966. It is also the rarest with less than 20 road-going examples of the saloon known to the Owners Club.

1956 Willerby 'Vogue' Caravan LDM17 - Lansdowne Models
The Vogue was a revelation in towing. Gone was the characteristic bounce of conventional caravans, thanks to tensioned-rubber independent suspension. The caravan rode on an even keel without jerking or pitching, and could be towed at speed. Now retired, only one left.

1954 Mercury Monterey Convertible BRK162 - Brooklin Models
Mercury's big news for 1954 was its first new engine since 1939. The short block V8 shared some components with Ford and Lincoln units and ensured that Mercury was well up in the performance stakes. Front ball-joint suspension was new and followed Lincoln practice. Bodywork was a development of the design introduced in 1952 with revised front and rear bumpers and grille as well as new side trim. Inside the dash was new and more luxurious materials were used for seat and door facings.The Monterey Sport Custom Convertible sold for just over $2,500 and nearly 8,000 examples found buyers.

1957 Oldsmobile Super 88 Station Wagon BRK121A - Brooklin Models
The Golden Rocket Super 88 Fiesta four door hardtop, to give it its full name, shared basic body pressings with the Buick Caballero. At just over $3,500 the Fiesta was around $200 cheaper than its Buick stablemate and with sales of only just over 5,000 for the year it was much the rarer of the two cars, Caballero production topping 10,000.

1956 Ford Consul MkI Convertible LDM65 - Lansdowne Models
The Consul used a four cylinder engine and the Zephyr a six and both models appeared at the 1950 Earls Court Motor Show. They caused a sensation. The first Consul was driven off the assembly line on January 1st 1951 with the Zephyr following a month later. In late 1952 convertible versions became available in limited quantities and in 1953 the Zodiac completed the line-up. Finished in Canterbury Green.

Built as a lightweight 'sportsman's trailer', the Slumbercoach was intended for the outdoor hunter or fisherman who wished to spend some time away in the Great Outdoors. It was claimed there was room for two to sleep in the Slumbercoach, although they must presumably have had to be very friendly!

The FD Victor was introduced in 1967, Vauxhall's Diamond Jubilee year. With brand new overhead-cam engines, the Victor and Victor 2000 models took the London Motor Show by storm. Mid 1968 saw the introduction of three brand new Estates - the Victor, Victor 2000 and Victor 3300. The latter with its Ventora/Cresta engine was a real barn-stormer. Finished Emerald Starmist.

Two Triumphs, a roadster and a saloon, were produced immediately after the war. Of razor-edge design, the saloon was a striking looking vehicle. This car was developed into the Renown, sharing its 2,088cc engine with the contemporary Vanguard. It had a fairly high price of £1,099.

1939 Mercury Coupe Convertible BRK159 - Brooklin Models
Mercury was a brand new name for 1939 and the brainchild of Edsel Ford. Intended to compete with the likes of Pontiac, the Mercury was more than just a luxury version of the Ford range. Wheelbase was up four inches and the dash and interior were unique to the new arrival. Initially four models were offered with the Convertible Coupe being the most expensive at just over $1,000.

1936 Pierce-Arrow Convertible BRK126 - Brooklin Models
Pierce-Arrows gradually grew in size as the years progressed and one of the marque's famous styling features, headlamps mounted on top of the front wings (fenders) appeared in 1914. In 1932 the V12 engine appeared to compete with other luxury brands. The following year saw significant developments in the fortunes of the company.

1953 Nash Healey Roadster BRK125 - Brooklin Models
Pininfarina designed the 1953 Nash-Healey and the cars had a complicated build process. Engines were shipped from the USA to Healey in Britain. Here the chassis and running gear came together before the completed chassis were shipped to Italy where Farina built the bodies. The completed cars then returned to the USA. Altogether 150 of these cars were produced with a further 90 hardtop versions following in 1954 when production eventually ended. In total just over 500 Farina-bodied cars were built.

When Pierce-Arrow and Studebaker parted company in 1963, Pierce lost all the sales organisation at a crucial time. In a last attempt to save a proud name they decided to go into the trailer business and set up the Travelodge division. Production started in mid-summer 1936 and lasted until November. Fruehauf Box Trailer - US26
These trailers were highly decorative with their streamlined fronts and ribbed sides and was a common site being hauled across the American highways delivering a wide variety of different cargos. The Fruehauf Trailer Company was founder by August Charles Fruehauf in 1918 where he began work as a blacksmith and carriage builder. This trailer will fit onto any of the Semis in the US Model Mint range.

This was the famous 'Coke Bottle' style FD Series with the big 3.3-litre six that gave lightening acceleration, tremendous top-gear performance and capable of a top speed of 106 mph. Our model represents a Ventora used by Huddersfield & District Police Force which would have had a price tag of around £1,101. The number of this vehicle was XWY 856G.

The Austin A40 Somerset had a four-cylinder, over head-valve, 1200cc engine that was capable of a top speed of only 71 mph. They were robust and reliable cars of the time and Austin was proud of their export success too. Our model is a replica of one used by Surrey Constabulary and bore the number UPC 241.
