1957 Humber Hawk Estate LDM50 - Lansdowne Models

1957 Humber Hawk Estate LDM50 - Lansdowne Models

Heavily influenced by American designs, notably the 1955 Chevrolet, the new Humber was a handsome vehicle in both saloon and wagon forms. New engines were used for both the Hawk and Super Snipe versions. As with other models in the Rootes family, station wagons were offered in their own unique colour combinations, which were not available on their saloon siblings.

The Humber Super Snipe MK I appeared in 1945 and ran for three years. In 1949 the model was extensively revised with a new front end which was the same as the Pullman limousine. Touring limousine and convertible bodies were also available and the MK III lasted until 1952 before being replaced by the all new MK IV.
